Second round of the UCI Women's WorldTour certain to live up to expectations.
The one-day Ronde van Drenthe is the second round of the UCI Women's WorldTour calendar which counts the 20% grade up the Vamberg among its tests for the peloton.
Cylance Pro Cycling is bringing a fast team prepared for a difficult finish with Shelley Olds and Valentina Scandolara on good form so far this season. They will be supported by Doris Schweizer, Rachele Barbieri, Sheyla Gutierrez and Alison Tetrick, who recently arrived from the US.
Starting and finishing in Hoogeveen, the 138.3km race features several sectors of cobbles and punchy climbs. "The Drenthe races are spectacular and very special," said Director Sportif, Manel Lacambra. "They are long races with hard cobble sections, wind, narrow roads, and the infamous Vamberg climb. We will try to do our best to fight against the top teams in the World and play our cards to achieve a good result ."
