Three separate back-to-back events turn Memorial Day Weekend into an unofficial “stage race” of epic riding for the U.S. racers of Cylance Pro Cycling.
On Friday, Alison Tetrick represented Cylance Pro Cycling in the U.S. Time Trial National Championships in Winston-Salem, NC with a strong showing in the challenging downhill-then-uphill 33km course.
"From the West Coast to the East Coast, it was great to be able to tackle the difficult USA Professional National Championship time trial course," added Alison. "I would have liked to have better speed for the day, but I had the best equipment and team support out there. Cylance Pro Cycling has created unparalleled opportunities for me and I can't wait to get some more substantial results in the near future. I am excited for the road race tomorrow and can't wait to see if my foreign teammates that aren't racing get some good American costumes to cheer us on!"
For Saturday May 28, Tetrick will be joined by U.S. teammates Erica Zaveta and Krista Doebel-Hickok for the U.S. National Road Race Championships in Winston-Salem. To watch the 140km road race via livestream, tune in here at 9:30a ET for the start of the women’s professional/elite field and 1:30p ET for the men’s professional field.
On Sunday May 29 and Monday May 30, Winston-Salem offers a professional criterium and UCI road race, where Tetrick, Zaveta and Doebel-Hickok will team up with Valentina Scandolara (ITA), Rossella Ratto (ITA) and Doris Schweizer (SUI). The team, which raced last weekend at Amgen Tour of California, looks strong heading into Winston-Salem’s top UCI 1.2 level event.
