On Friday Aug 19, six racers for Cylance Pro Cycling will compete in only the second team time trial event of this year’s UCI Women’s WorldTour calendar, the Crescent Vårgårda TTT, a one-day timed event that will see all 19 registered teams compete separately on a 42.5km long course. The TTT is followed two days later by another one-day race, the Crescent Vårgårda Road Race, 141km complete with four technical gravel sections.
Coming off a strong top 10 in the UCI Ladies Tour of Norway race, the Cylance Pro Cycling team will once again field a strong roster looking for success in both events of the Crescent Vårgårda. Carmen Small (USA), Sheyla Gutierrez (ESP), Rossella Ratto (ITA), Doris Schweizer (SUI), Alison Tetrick (USA) and Rachele Barbieri (ITA) will again be donning the Cylance Pro Cycling green jerseys as they take the world’s best cyclists.
The Crescent Vårgårda races were a part of the UCI World Cup, the precursor to the UCI Women’s WorldTour last season where Carmen Small placed in the top 30. She’ll be looking to better that result this time around coming off repeat top 10 performances in European events.
The Crescent Vårgårda will be airing live on Eurosport to 300 million homes in August 21st. We will be updating as always on our twitter account; you can follow along at @CylanceCycling.
