The thirteenth round of the UCI Women’s World Tour returns to the United Kingdom for the Prudential RideLondon Classique. Cylance Pro Cycling will feature Carmen Small (USA), Valentina Scandolara (ITA), Sheyla Gutierrez (ESP), Rachele Barbieri (ITA), Doris Schweizer (SUI) and Alison Tetrick (USA) for the race through England’s biggest city center.
The 4th running of the Prudential RideLondon Classique will take place July 30th in England, with a 5.5 km circuit in central London, beginning and finishing on The Mall. In a landmark moment for women's cycling, the prize money for the Prudential RideLondon Classique is the highest ever offered for a women's one-day race and matches the prize money offered at the world's richest one day men's race – the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey Classic – which takes place the following day, on the Sunday.
Fresh off her 3rd place overall at the UCI Cascade Cycling Classic in Bend, OR, Carmen Small is eager to get back to Europe for WorldTour racing. “I’m super excited to join the team in London this weekend,” added Carmen. “It’s kicking off the second part of the season for me. After a small break off the bike it’s time to refocus and get back to racing.”
“The team has been very welcoming,” Carmen continued, “and I really hope I can contribute some success to the team.”
There will be live coverage of the Prudential RideLondon Classique on BBC TV on Saturday 30 July. Check your TV listings for details and, as always, follow us on twitter for additional updates at @CylanceCycling.
